The heat of the heated desk pad has a relaxing effect, promotes blood circulation and therefore also muscle recovery.

Never have cold hands again with the electrically heated desk pad from De WarmeMat™. The easiest and most effective way to warm your hands. The infrared heating can relieve muscle pain and joint pain. In addition, the electrically heated desk pad is economical to purchase and in power consumption.

A sustainable ergonomic product for office employees, which can reduce absenteeism due to illness.

Stay warm at your desk

The temperature of the work environment could play a major role in the development of long-term complaints in the arms, neck and shoulders. Many screen workers complain of cold hands. In addition, there are countless people with RSI complaints who suffer from the same phenomenon. This could be related to reduced blood flow in the arm, something that quickly occurs when working with the computer.

Research of the temperature

Research shows that in healthy subjects the temperature in the hand with which they operate their computer mouse is lower than in the other hand. And the colder the environment, the lower temperatures are measured in the arm, hand and fingers. The temperature is therefore something to pay attention to if you want to prevent problems with the arms, neck and shoulders.

Further research shows that when working on a heated surface, the temperature in the 'mouse arm' decreased less than with other surfaces.

This is evident from research by Eline Meijer of the Coronel Institute, Department of Public Health at the University of Amsterdam.

Meijer put healthy subjects to work for twenty minutes at the computer. They worked with a heat-insulating mouse pad, a regular mouse pad and a bare work surface. In the first case, the 'mouse arm' cooled down less quickly.

A large insulating mouse pad prevents a cold mouse hand and thus contributes to extra comfort. Preventing cold hands can have a preventive effect against RSI complaints.
